New & Improved!

The Webbs have been busy the past couple of weekends... we took town the pink half-wall dividing the retail floor from the sewing room.

We moved all the clothes & other things...

No more sewing machines!

and on the trailer it went!

Then I painted the "new" back wall pink

and we opened for business.  (This was after the first weekend.)

Then, with some help from the family,

we turned the old embroidery table

Into this!

My sweet husband installed some fixtures (and new sewing tables in our new room) which made a HUGE difference!

In case you never saw what we started with,

and NOW!

A BIG thank you to my sweet family... I couldn't have done it without you!

(Flashback) Back 2 School

Where does the time go?

It seems like only yesterday they were little bitty...

and then they reach milestones, start school and become more independent.

And then comes middle school and second grade...
And a first day of Pre-School.

And a first day of Pre-School.

Now we have a 7th grade football player heading to practice at 7am

and two sisters that are finally in the SAME school!!!

A first day of kindergarten would not be complete without Sra. Monuoz... She taught both Parker and Rain and we are delighted that Maya has the opportunity to be her Dual Language class, too.

All set and ready to learn! Thinking back to one year ago, I couldn't be happier that she is sitting at that desk. Praise the Lord for a healed heart and a healthy start to Kindergarten!!

High Flyin'

Instead of going to Marfa for Spring break, we stayed home... I've been trying to get over a pretty serious cold/allergy mess and have just been exhausted lately. It was nice to get some rest :)

The girls have been wanting to fly kites, but it has either been too windy or not windy enough.

We had a perfect day over Spring Break, so we headed to the grassy knoll by the school and spent some time in pretty sunshine.

It was a success! (Sorry the pictures are from my phone and not the best) We let all the kite string out and the flew without a problem.

We finished up with some time on the school playground and then headed home. Fun day!

Blessed

Ok, so I've been a BAD blogger. Sorry! Things have been CrAzY at the shop (which is great) and every time I sit down to blog my camera is at the shop and blog posts are boring without pictures.

So much has gone on the past month, I just don't know where to start... Maya had a follow-up echo with Dr. Brownlee and her leak is fixed. That's right- No more leak and no more meds. PRAISE THE LORD!!! It's still hard to believe that I am actually writing this.

Rain and Parker are doing great is school, and both have their birthdays coming up. I can't believe they are turning 8 and 12. Oh my~ Parker is going to have a camp-out at the farm and Rain wants a bowling party. So there is definitely some birthday planning in my future!

Speaking of birthdays, the shop was 3 months old on my birthday (March 1). It has been such a blessing... Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would do this well. I have been able to watch my dream become a reality and I feel so blessed! People come in, create their own "look" from one of my designs, some people buy fabric to make their own creations & some buy off the rack. I love what I do and the people I work with~ and... $1 of every sale goes to a foundation in San Antonio to help kids get heart surgery. I love being able to contribute to this cause.

So things have been busy, but I promise to be a better blogger! Thank you to all my sweet family and friends who have offered their encouragement!

LORD my GOD, You have done many things-Your wonderful works and Your plans for us; none can compare with You.

Happy Birthday, Maya!

Today our baby turns 5... it is so hard to believe how fast you have grown!

You are sweet and beautiful inside and out and you have been through a lot this year.

Actually, you've been through more in your first five years than many people 10 times your age. I am so proud of what a strong person you have become.

You love the beach and love to sing and dance and will do so just about anywhere you go. Your favorite color is still purple, and your hippo is never far away.

You love your brother and sister, and our Dixie. Sometimes you love her a little too much!

Thank you for being you... smart and sassy and so full of life! We love you more than you will ever know!

back in the swing...

The day after Christmas, we headed to West Texas for a week to do a little hunting (and reading & sleeping if you're me, ha!) We got back from Marfa around 6 last night... it was a really fun trip! The girls got an ipod touch for Christmas, so I thought I would show you Marfa through their eyes...

We also had some very successful hunts...

Our friends Mark and Ronnie Barber took these giant bucks

and I shot this OLD 10 point that was pushing around a younger deer with better genetics... and we got a cape for Parker's mount, so it worked out nicely!

Now back to reality!
